school About Our Centre

Experience the Difference at Edugild

Edugild is MIT India's Innovation & Incubation Centre — a platform that funds, mentors and incubates student-built startups from anywhere in India.

Our mission is to empower student founders across India through funding, mentorship and incubation — turning early ideas into fundable ventures with real support, not permission slips. Edugild brings capital, expert mentors, workspace and go-to-market playbooks into one platform so students can validate problems, build pilots and raise with confidence. From the first pitch to a registered startup, we stay founder-first and execution-led.

Comido Organica started from a simple observation — organic food needs an honest brand. Edugild gave me the structure to think through one.

FAQ

Common questions, answered plainly.

Eligibility, teams, prototypes, fees — the questions founders ask before they apply. Still stuck? Email edcell@mitaoe.ac.in.

01Do I have to be an MIT India student to apply?
No. Edugild is MIT India's initiative, but it is open to every student in India. You can be from any college, university or school. Your institution does not decide whether you're eligible — your idea does.
02Can I apply if I don't have a team?
Yes. Solo founders are welcome. We've backed plenty of one-person teams and have helped them recruit co-founders during the sprint when needed.
03Do I need a prototype to apply?
No. We fund at the idea stage. We care about the clarity of the problem you're solving and why you are the right person to solve it — not about how polished your demo is.
04Is there any cost to apply or participate?
No. There is no application fee, no program fee and no hidden cost to be part of Edugild.
